Well, after a slow start, my parsnips are going great guns and so today I’ve thinned out the original rows and spread the young plants between three of the raised beds.  There were far more than I’d originally thought, so I suspect the plants are still a little more densely packed than experienced gardeners would suggest was ideal!

Hope they all thrive as roast parsnips have got to be one of the yummiest veg!

Still have the carrot seedings to thin out, then all the raised beds will be full.

The, now protected, broccoli is making an excellent recovery, so hopefully the pigeon damage hasn’t set the plants back too far.  Otherwise, everything else in the garden looks to be going well in spite of the weird weather this spring.  Fingers crossed – looking forward to a good harvest this year!  😉
